D'eau. That's what you'll see here and LOTS of it! This powerful waterfall is a must see!
Located in Calvin, Ontario in-between Mattawa and North Bay this conservation area holds a hidden gem - this 3km hike is moderate, follows the river and this falls is so powerful you can hear it from the trailhead!
Getting down to the view you see on the right in a bit of a challenge, be careful with small children however don't let that discourage you! The hike is still beautiful even if you can't make it down to this view you can still view the falls from the top!
Places to stay nearby? Samuel Du Champlain Provincial Park is one of our families favourites. Kiosk in Algonquin Park also offers so beautiful sites. North Bay and Mattawa have lots of hotel options but a really unique stay is at the Buffalo Farm located just past this beautiful conservation area!
